KFC is Testing All New DOUBLE DOWN! (1,200 calories. 50g Fat)

From Healthy Grilled Chicken To Fatty Double Fried Chicken.
According to KFC, their new Double Down sandwich, which KFC is testing in Providence, Rhode Island and Omaha, Nebraska, has less than 600 calories. This sandwich skips the bread, instead presenting diners with two deep-fried chicken breasts to hold together the center of two kinds of cheese, bacon, and lots of “Colonel’s sauce.”
The Vancouver Sun did an analysis that says the sandwich has more than an entire day’s worth of the recommended allowance for fat, cholesterol, sodium and protein. And the Daily news quoted Men’s Health food and nutrition editor Matt Goulding, co-author of “Eat This, Not That: Best and Worst Foods in America,” as saying: “Independent labs are estimating that it has around 1,200 calories and over 50 fat grams, based on what’s in the other KFC sandwiches."
The Daily News also went on to say that KFC public relations rep Rick Maynard responded to experts' guesstimated calorie counts by providing estimated figures of 590 calories and 31 grams of fat for the sandwich. Maynard clarified that the Sun ran its numbers based onthe sandiwch containing two Original Recipe breasts, which are chicken on the bone, while the new sandwich uses Original Recipe filets.
In spite of the fact that KFC is claiming to be heading in a healthier direction, this seems like a big step backwards. 50 grams of fat. Sheesh. A couple a slices of bread don't seem so bad right about now.

No way! A sandwich without any slices of bread? Two deep-fried chicken breasts to hold together the center of two kinds of cheese, instead!! I'd rather eat deep-fried ice cream and clog up my arteries with that.
