Buy Your Tickets Now! Michael Jackson Film Has Sold Out More Than 1,600 Showtimes

NYDAILYNEWS -- Michael Jackson's "This Is It" is already a hit - and it hasn't played one theater yet.

Two weeks ahead of its opening, the movie of the King of Pop rehearsing for a comeback concert shortly before his death has generated more than 1,600 soldout showtimes.

It is also the top seller this week at two major online ticket outlets.

"The presales activity all over the world has been nothing short of extraordinary," said Steve Elzer, a spokesman for Sony Corp.-owned Columbia Pictures, the studio behind the 112-minute film.

Online ticket seller Fandango.com reported that it has sold more than 1,000 showtimes in the United States for "This Is It" on its site alone.
