Why Don't You Love Me by Victor Alvia

Why Don't You Love Me
by Victor Alvia

I was a great lover
for years of my life.
I've dated a mother,
teenager, wife.
I've made my mistakes:
fun time I might say.
I've had them one nights,
some I let stay.
I've broken some hearts
and shattered some dreams,
I ripped them apart:
careless I seem.
There is no excuse,
so what I was young.
Now that I look back,
that answer is dumb.

So foolish to think
happiness brought.
Cupid has cursed me
and put me on halt.
All that I've done,
has counter-attacked.
Now I see why,
you don't love me back.
